Blackjack Ballroom Casino, one of the newer Microgaming-powered casinos to enter the growing online gambling market, stakes its name on fast support and payouts.
Blackjack Ballroom Casino was also the first to introduce Microgaming’s new multi-hand blackjack game, where a gambler can play up to five hands against the dealer – for serious blackjack players, this dramatically increases the number of hands one can play in a set period of time.
I decided to give it a shot shortly after it opened, making a deposit of $100 in early November 2000, for which they gave me a $50 bonus – not a bad deal at all for those who know the bonuses offered by other casinos. Any time you can make 50% on a deposit you’ve already won half the battle. (Editor’s note – Bonuses change on a regular basis – please visit the site for the latest bonus)
One of the requirements to earn the bonus is to play both deposit and bonus – a total of $150 – at least once through. Having given up blackjack for some time now, I decided to try Aces and Faces video poker – a departure from my usual Jacks or Better – after realizing the only advantage you give up is 1 coin on the full house payout – a drop from 9-1 to 8-1 – but on the other hand, getting four of a kind pays much better – as much as 800 coins for four aces!
So after meeting my obligations for the bonus, and playing on for enjoyment value, I ended up with something like $252 dollars – not bad. But for some strange reason I decided not to cash out – perhaps I forgot, or decided I would cash out later – whatever the reason, I left the balance in the account, then traveled to the US for a break.
Returning from the US broke, having dropped a couple of thousand playing Judi Dadu Online blackjack and my recent favorite pai gow poker, I went back to Blackjack Ballroom Casino and was surprised to see that there was a balance – I had completely forgotten about it for over a month.
So I figured, what the heck, let’s play it out. After all, it was only a couple of hundred more…
I started with my usual 25 cent plays, time 5 coins for a play value of $1.25 per hand. No progress – I think I even lost $10 or $20.
Played a few hands at 50 cents – total $2.50 per hand. No progress.
Jetlag was beginning to catch up with me – I was falling asleep at the keyboard. I broke my cardinal rule – never play when you’re tired – and I advise you to do the same.
I raised the stakes to $1.00 per coin – total $5.00 per hand, thinking I’d just get it over with.
Half an hour later, still nodding off at the keyboard, I was dealt a pat flush – worth $30. Just as I began to hold all the cards, I noticed that I had four cards to the royal flush – missing only the King of Diamonds.
As fortune had it, I was composed enough to toss the odd diamond out and draw to the royal flush – and promptly nodded off again. But when I woke up maybe a minute later, I was staring at a royal flush – the first time I have ever hit one.
The payout – $4,000.
I won’t bore you with the rest of the details – I played a bit and lost some back while waiting for firm instructions on how to proceed with the cashout. I cashed out $3,500 in the end.
So I cashed out a nice payday. Lo and behold, the money was in my account a week later.
Can’t beat that for timely payments! Obviously they keep their promises and deliver prompt payments.
Naturally, Blackjack Ballroom Casino also has the usual Playcheck and Accountcheck facilities common to all Microgaming casinos. Their support was quite fast and efficient. Play was smooth and easy – although occasionally there have connectivity problems, they are few and far between.
You can also find your favorite Microgaming progressive slots here, including Cashsplash and the progressive Supajax video poker. And of course they carry a large complement of table games and slots – way too many to mention, but I will tell you that Microgaming has far and away the best selection of games – and Blackjack Ballroom Casino has many of them right in one place.
You won’t go wrong here. Even if I hadn’t hit a royal flush, I would have had no hesitation at all in recommending them.
