꽁머니 지급 X continued Tuesday with Event #14, the $216 no limit hold’em turbo event. Almost 40 sponsored Full Tilt pros showed up for the event and with 2583 entrants the event cleared its $500k guarantee by a little over $16k. Players started with only 2000 chips, and with the blinds going up every five minutes there was guaranteed to be some crazy action throughout the night. Out of the 2583 entrants, only 279 would get paid, with the top prize being just under $105,000. Only 3 of the Full Tilt pros managed to make it into the money, those being Nordberg (257), Brandon Adams (158), and Ali Sarkeshik (149).
Going into the final table of the event, the favorites to take it down had to be scrubbyz, SirWatts, and imabigkidnow. Not only did the three of them have the biggest stacks at the table, but they also had the most wins this year out of all the players that were remaining at that point. The final table stacks were:
Seat 1: imabigkidnow (1,193,694)
Seat 2: Dutchalicious (209,642)
Seat 3: wallstreet3 (492,252)
Seat 4: zurc3 (399,875)
Seat 5: kor44 (210,960)
Seat 6: amrasaralond (336,159)
Seat 7: LaTanyaWilliams (451,701)
Seat 8: SirWatts (728,875)
Seat 9: scrubbyz (1,142,842)
It only took a few hands for the short stack, Dutchalicious, to get it all in preflop when he was dealt two sixes. However he ran into the kings of amrasaralond and made an exit in 9th place. With the blinds already gigantic and getting bigger fast, it again didn’t take long for more players to get it all in. This time it was kor44’s AQ up against imabigkidnow’s J6s. A 6 on the flop spelled bad news for kor44, and he just couldn’t catch up, exiting in 8th place.
The very next hand, SirWatts got it all in with Q2 against scrubbyz’s J4s. SirWatts would end up hitting a full house and doubling up through scrubbyz. Just a few hands after, SirWatts again got it all in preflop with QQ and was called by zurc3 who held KQs. SirWatts however would dodge the flush and king, giving him all of zurc3’s nearly 300k chips and sending zurc3 out in 7th place. SirWatts was on a bit of a card rush, as just two hands later he was all in with A5 against wallstreet3’s 97s. This time wallstreet3 caught a 7 on the flop and went on to win the hand, doubling up through SirWatts. Shortly after it looked as if SirWatts was in good shape to take down a huge pot, as there was a three way all in. SirWatts was ahead with AJ, wallstreet3 held A9, and imabigkidnow was holding A3s. However the cards brought two pair on the board and the giant pot was split three ways. A pattern was emerging quickly, as the next all in pot was once again SirWatts holding KQ against imabigkidnow’s 78s. The flop would give both a pair, but imabigkidnow’s was smaller, leaving SirWatts to double up. The two players had about 1.5 million in chips afterward. Four hands later SirWatts again was all in with 77, but was a big underdog to wallstreet3’s pocket tens. However, the flop came with a 7, giving SirWatts the lead. The turn brought a fourth club through, giving wallstreet3 a flush. The river was another club and wallstreet3 took down the pot.
By this time, amrasaralond had less than one big blind and found himself all in with Q4 against imabigkidnow’s 46. Imabigkidnow couldn’t catch his 6, and amrasaralond doubled up. Again amrasaralond would get it all in against imabigkidnow a few hands later, and again imabigkidnow’s A6 was dominated by amrasaralond’s AT. The turn gave imabigkidnow his three outer though, and sent amrasaralond home in 6th place.
The very next hand scrubbyz got it all in with Q9, but found himself behind imabigkidnow’s A3. Neither player would catch a card, sending scrubbyz home in 5th with a respectable $26k win. Shortly afterward, imabigkidnow continued to destroy the table, as his J7 all in was called by LaTanyaWilliams who held A9. Unfortunately for LaTanyaWilliams, the heater continued as there was a J on the flop and LaTanyaWilliams went home in 4th place.
The last three spots in the tournament were settled in two more hands. First SirWatts got it all in with A6s, and was called by imabigkidnow who had Q8s. The card rush continued for imabigkidnow, as he hit a queen on the flop and another on the turn, knocking SirWatts out in 3rd place. SirWatts collected just over $50k for his efforts. The next hand, imabigkidnow was all in with KT against wallstreet3’s 78. An 8 fell on the flop, putting wallstreet3 ahead, but a T on the turn and a bricked river gave imabigkidnow the win in one of the most exciting events of the FTOPS X series. Wallstreet3 brought in $67.5k for his second place finish, and the winner took home nearly $105k.
