The first thing that caught my eye was a feature slot – Sizzling Scorpions, a 50 cent, single-line three reel machine. I’m a sucker for Power Poker, progressives and feature slots – so I knew I had to try this one, and past results with feature slots have been quite good.
I was determined to spin until I got the feature symbol on the third reel – and in this case it took me 49 spins before I got to the feature game. There you choose one of three cute scorpions, who then race against each other in the desert – if you choose the winner, you get 100 coins – $50. To my great surprise, that’s exactly what I got – and ended up with a $59 profit – no complaints at all here!
Off to try out Deuces Wild Power Poker, one of the variations I hadn’t tried before. But didn’t have a whole lot of luck here – at minimum coin size (25 cents) and full coin-in on all lines (total bet $5 per hand) I managed to dump $52.50 – might have done a bit better had I not made liberal use of the “Double” button after some of my wins!
There’s also a new Judi Bola slot machine called Astro Nomical. A $1, single-line three reel machine, I figured “what the heck” and gave it a spin – or actually, 50, to be precise. And on the 50th spin, I lined up three Astro Nomical symbols… immediately ABOVE the payline – net loss, $126. So I’ve left an Astro Nomical sum for some lucky winner, because I highly doubt I was the victim of anything but a streak of bad luck.
Too bad – off to such a good start, only to lose it all back and then some. So I headed for the roulette tables, where some of you will recall I have had decent luck. And I was grateful to discover that this was a single-zero roulette wheel. I have a usual cycle of betting which I repeat wherever I go – sometimes it completes in 10 spins (happened in Gala Casino on one of the London trips) and sometimes the cycle never finishes and I lose a ton of money (happened in Gala Casino about four days later).
This time, the cycle was completed in 41 spins – with a net profit of 62 units. Still down 57.50 for the session but it’s been a reasonably interesting visit to the casino.
Anyhow, I decided that I had forgotten to consult my horoscope – I’m a Pisces – and to my surprise (not), the horoscope had only good things for me – but what caught my eye was this: “After the 8th when Venus enters your second house of money you can see it as a great time for attracting finances your way.” I should HOPE so – my birthday is the 9TH! But as I am away on a lot of trips this month, the timing is actually perfect – perhaps it was just my time to give a little now, and hopefully reap some bigger rewards later.
